Recycle Smarter
I am known at home for my vast collection of cardboard. I have collected this for some time now under the guise of moving house…. Last summer it became such a problem we couldn’t get into the shed. Having cleared most of it out, I am now in the process of buying in boxes for a real house move….. :(
The same with all the glass offcuts or cutlet as it is known which has now been taken to the local adult edu centre for the students to use. It was really refreshing to see that on a weekend course I taught at that some of the students were using the scrap glass for their pieces and one student even managed to use scrap glass for their entire piece.
This week I have taken a journey into the abstract world, inspired by a trip last summer to Coventry Cathedral, which in itself rose from the ashes of war. It has been quite a freeing journey into looking into alternative ways to make art from what would have ordinarily been thrown away.
